In a March
26th meeting with SLL members and TxDot, Mr. Hoagland explained that
he does not want Hanover (Lavon 593) to build this development
on the shores of Lavon Lake.
Mr Hoagland said since the laws
of the state do not give the county any way to fight MUDs, the only
thing the County could do is plan this bridge route that would deter
the MUD developers by forcing them to build a long connector road
for the bridge.
Seems
a better plan of attack would be to change the MUD laws at a state
level, rather than spend $366,000 for an fiscally impossible bridge
route that may, or may not, deter a MUD developer.
All the routes cut
through the Lavon 539/Hanover Property
